Of course, we all have different needs and preferences. Discussion of this situation on other lists have brought up the suggestion of using FedEx or DHL to send film and gear to your destination, and I can see how that might work in some situations for some people. If one travels frequently to certain places it might be advantageous to leave gear in those places with a friend. Elliott Erwitt, who traveled quite a bit, used to have a stash of lights and tripods in several cities in Europe, and all he took with him were his cameras. While those were more halcyon days, the concept is still workable. I've devised a scheme where I now send most of my clothes ahead, and carry just the barest minimum in one of the Domke satchels, which, thus far, has come along as carry on. I then send the dirty clothes back home by appropriate carrier. I think that the problems and, more importantly, the confusion, will soon settle out, as a standard set of rules and regulations will take effect. Then we'll all know what's possible and what the best options are for each of us. -- Sheldon Belinkoff CREATURE'S COMFORT mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] - This message is from the Pentax-Discuss Mail List.
