Manual Focus lens w/ZX-7

When I put one of my manual lenses on the ZX-7 and use the flash, how do I 
know where to set the aperature?  My old ME Super flash told me what 
aperature to use based on film speed and strenght of the flash.  Will the 
ZX-7 flash compensate for the light coming into the lens?
