If you're using the RTF (built-in, pop-up flash), don't worry -- TTL flash metering circuitry in the camera body will quench the flash once sufficient light has struck the film. Likewise, if you're using an external flash that's a dedicated TTL unit, the camera body's TTL flash metering circuitry will quench the external flash once sufficient light has struck the film. If you have an external flash which is non-dedicated and non-TTL, then there should be a scale on the flash body giving the appropriate lens aperture. Hope this helps.
