I believe this is pretty much what the camera division boss said in that interview: Pentax will continue making "hit" products, which I translate into meaning the popular volume stuff. But they would also concentrate on making "legends". I do think Pentax have realised the two-fold division of their customer base; this division is easy to spot in this forum. 1) The ones who want a good deal and don't want to spend much money; 2) The Pentax connoisseur who pay whatever it takes in order to get hold of the great, legendary Pentax products.
