I've received my DA 12-24mm, and I've just shot a few pics. It performs very well on all respects, except for a rather evident CA, badly needing correction in case of large format prints. All considered, it tastes a lot like the DA 16-45mm, which I love so much.
Warning: when using it, be careful to let the hood "click" well into its lock position, otherwise you think its OK while it's not (and the shade will be visible in all pictures taken at 12mm).
