A good conversion/filter plug-in is BW Plus. It's free and you can find it here...

I played with it a little and the result is here: http://home.earthlink.net/~allaround6/data/quicksnap.htm I'll remove it within 24 hours, sooner if you'd like. I darkened the highlights and increased the mid-tone contrast with the shadow/highlight tool is PSE4. -P P. J.
