http://www.cybia.co.uk/bwplus.htm You can show the texture in the fence posts a little more by darkening the highlights. I played with it a little and the result is here: http://home.earthlink.net/~allaround6/data/quicksnap.htm I'll remove it within 24 hours, sooner if you'd like. I darkened the highlights and increased the mid-tone contrast with the shadow/highlight tool is PSE4. -P ============= Well, B&W conversion is not my forte, and I guess I slammed it up as a post a little too quick. Could have played with it more. I guess most found it too "hot," normally I tone down the mid tones more. But, also, I wasn't sure, either. Thanks I'll take a look at that plug-in, nice conversion. I've been using Elements 5 B&W built-in convertor. Their choice they have labeled with things like Vivid Landscape, Urban Shot, etc. I think it is a range of colored filters actually, but the trouble they just don't specify which is which. And, thanks Jack, Paul, Bruce, Peter, and Bill for your comments as well. >Love the texture of the wood. >Bill Ditto, that's why I liked it. There are a lot of neat old fences in the SW, NM, in particular, some just bundles of sticks. Wish I had had more time to take more photos. Okay, back to the B&W conversion drawing board. Thanks for the input, all. Marnie aka Doe :-) <BR><BR><BR>**************************************<BR> AOL now offers free email to everyone.
