That's interesting to me because in some ways Singapore airport
(Changi) is where my life begins. 

We were posted to Singapore from the UK in the early 60s, before I had
started school. I have few memories from before Singapore, and they
are rather fragmentary. But I remember the aeroplane door opening, and
being dazzled by a burst of sunlight, colour, heat and the smell of
the tropics, and from then on my memories are more like a continuous
moving picture than a random set of snaps.
