Thanks, Bill and Walt.  I'll give the KBr a try.  Just have to find
some first.  The local shops don't carry much more than the standard
dev chemicals.

I'm definitely going to try your "Admiral's Wife" method!  How was
that Dektol diluted?  Or was it?
