When I travelled to GFM in 05, I braved the world of airlines and airport security, rental cars and supplementary insurance. >From this, I learned a couple of things. I'm too much of a buffoon to do well with Minneapolis' airport and the whole security thang. It will cost me enough less to drive to make 6 days in a car worthwhile. So, I am planning on driving to GFM this time. With this in mind, I am looking for route advice, as I have never driven through the heavily populated eastern USA. If you check a googley map, http://maps.google.ca/maps?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=&tab=il and note I am starting from the vicinity of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, can anyone suggest a quick but safe route, and give me some hints about places to avoid, what would be the gentlest route, and the like? I expect that the Interstate highways would make it the quickest, but I would prefer to avoid large urban areas. Thanks for any advice you can give.
