That's exactly what I see with regards to my own images. And I'm also occasionally suprised by some of the sub-par images I see from other photographers. Still, you can't expect to agree with anyone else's opinion(s) 100% of the time and in general I think they're doing an outstanding job of maintaining an overall high standard in the gallery.
