As for the barn being too close to the frame edge, I sort of agree.  I
wanted it close to emphasize the perspective, but I didn't want it quite
that close.  However, there was a pole a little bit to the right, and I
thought about leaving it in the frame, but it was ugly and didn't really
match the context of the barn and the setting.  I probably could have
cloned it out, but frankly, I'm not that thrilled with the photo and didn't
want to put the extra work into it.  I see this one as somewhat of a "warm
up photo" after not having made any photos in a couple of months.

I thought about taking a tripod, but there were a few logistical concerns
that made me decide otherwise.  Had circumstances been a little different,
I'd have taken one.  So I agree it would have been helpful.
