No, the gallery is unlikely to be the principle deciding factor for
anyone, but it could be one of many. I found it interesting when I was
thinking about the Olympus to see what people wrote about it, what
pictures had been shot with it, what type of photographers used it,
what kind of pictures they took, and so on. These things all
contribute towards the decision. Putting this gallery up is an
extremely low-cost thing to do - it should be a powerful lever. Not
having something like this would say some very negative things about
the company which could contribute a lot to losing sales, in my view.
