Preliminary tests indicate that the rather common and inexpensive (on eBay)
Nikon HN-7 lens hood will work very well on your A35-105.  This hood is a
52mm thread, but you can use it with a step down ring.  The hood is
designed for an older Nikon 85/1.8 or the Nikon 80-200.  With a little
black tape around the outside of the hood, you can even use the infamous
Hershey's Hood Cap I showed you, although there may be other choices as
well.
