I think that's an illusion of its more rounded  contours. The digital  
version is closer in appearance to the Pentax  645NII model, which is  
less boxy than the original model but not  really any smaller.

specifications  yet, do we? Maybe it's a tad smaller than the film version. But

have a point  about rounded corners. I am sure it's big, just a matter how HOW  
big.
