Heading to Las Vegas Sunday and will be taking a very light bag. Just the K10D, the 16-45 and 50-200 with maybe the A 28 and A50. No flash.
I think its still ok to carry on a camera bag that fits under the seat or in the over head, is it not. In 2005, the US custom guy didi not care about my cameras.
