My wife has had an Optio S, A10 and now A30.  All have been just fine
for her purposes.  One added bonus is the A10, A20, A30 also shoot
divx mpeg 4 movies which gives you about 40 minutes of video per 1gb
card.  Typical quick time or mpeg 2 is about 10 minutes per card.

So my wife shoots video snips  as much as she shoots stills with her
camera.  In fact, video was one of her requirements.  There are times
when a moving picture and sound do more justice to a scene than a
still shot.  Especially if kids are involved.
