The sustained demand for Pentax lenses due to the popularity of the DS, DL, K100D, and K10D bodies is what causes the scarcity. I don't know why this is a negative thing ... you only need to buy a lens once. So there's a little wait to get what you want, and then you're done. I've gotten every lens I wanted with at most a couple weeks' wait. I'm happy with all of them ... my lens kit is "done" for the present. I bought, used and sold several other new ones along the way too. There are a couple of lenses that I would buy in a moment if Pentax produced them ... like my often mentioned DA28mm f/2 Limited ... But you gotta do what you feel is right for you. And no, I'm not selling the FA20-35/4 AL any time soon... :-) Godfrey -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
