I'm not sure it would suit your purposes, Marnie, but it might fit someone else's around here. There's a ... hmmm ... "device" that long distance shooters use that opens into a "ground cloth" you can lie on, and closes to protect a rifle and some gear and ride around on your back via some shoulder straps.
