Do you believe everything you hear?

I assume when I purchase something at a legitimate retail outlet that the
product I'm purchasing is legally being sold to me and it's legal for me to
use it. That is the most logical assumption one can make. It's also
logical to assume that if 99.9% of potential DVD watchers in America don't
care about non-region 1 DVD's that the major retailers will not stock them
or players to view them with. I don't know if there's a legal issue
preventing them from stocking or selling them or not.

It's the same principle as purchasing an exotic fruit or spice. My
supermarket does not carry it because not enough people care about it. I
must go to a specialty to store to find it. Why would I think it was
illegal for the specialty store to sell the item just because the
supermarket chain does not?

And? So...? What's that have to do with whether they are legal for sale here
or not? Gray-market items certainly are.

Clear as a ding-dong bell.
