Thanks to all who gave me ideas on a ground cover. I went to REI and found a picnic blanket with straps. Basically, it is waterproofed on one side, and has sort of blanket on the other. Not a real blanket, so it is not that thick. Not quite what I want, but it will do. Since I have never been a football attendee, nor a picnicker, I hadn't thought of those. There does appear to be a wide choice for both out there on the Net, so I can find something better later. But I needed something right now.
So thanks. I am taking off on a mini-trip to do some photography. That is what I care about, photography -- not all this other stuff. I am going hunting for the elusive California poppy. A dangerous job, but someone has to do it. ;-) Back next week sometime.
