Hi,

I'm using old gear, and I like it, but I've experienced that two
features can be modified:

1) the high-frequency sound that's produced by the flash while charging
the capacitator... it's quite ennoying when taking pictures of e.g.
lectures.

Anyone having experience in disabling this sound? Or is it something
that is inherent to the charging process of a flash (as most flashes
produce the same sound)?

2) the mode-selection dial on the Super A has a lock button that has to
be pressed down before the dial can be switched between e.g. Auto and
Manual modes... I don't see why this would be and I think it's quite
ennoying. I just want to switch using one finger, and when using a
(bulky) flash like the AF280T, it's even hardly possible to set the dial
without taking off the flash.

Anyone having experience in dismantling the camera top and modifying the
dial in this sense??

If you want to share instructions on modifying the equipment, I'll take
full responsibility when anything goes wrong... but a hint on the risk
of ruining the equipment is welcome ;-).

Groeten,

Vic
