You talking about the habby?

Not custom, but it's 3/2.5 titanium, cheap because it's made in China
but has impeccable craftsmanship, excellent quality welding, etc. Cost
about the same as a 'name brand' aluminum frame (Cannondale, trek,
whetever) but is vastly superior in terms of stiffness.

I suspect that you wouldn't see ANY higher-end bike locked up. Most of
what we see here in montreal are 70s-era 10-speeds.

Heck, My first real bike was my dad's "Free Spirit Aero" a decent
quality steel frame with OK parts, and I won't even let THAT one on
its own.

Riding, get a good bike. Tooling around requires a beater bike, no way around it
