Everyone, is pretty much talking about stiching images, but how about when your subject needs to be capture in an instant and you don't have a choice to shoot more that one photo (I'm think strong waves hitting a shoreline or animals/people moving). If you upsize a K10D file to double and crop panorama you should be able to print a nice 10x24 or so, never didn't but should work.
I was just reading this guy's blog today (http://pentaxk10dblog.blogspot.com) and he is talking about the Katz Eye focusing screen with panorama lines (too expensive for me, but I guess someone that likes this technique might justify the price).
