I like it, and I like it better with out the pole.  Maybe if the theme
is "man's intrustion on nature" the man-mad elements should be more
prominent.

I like your theme too (I haven't been paying close attention lately,
so I don't know how long you have been doing this theme).  I live and
work on the west side Denver, so every time I look out the window
there is a beatiful scene of the foothills... interrupted by
powerlines, barbed wire fences and trash.  It is frustrating because
nothing ruins your beatiful scenic like a truck and powerline in the
back ground, so I often times try to embrace it instead and try to
represent it as it really is, like Frank said.  It's just hard to make
it look pretty where there is a barbed wire fence and a dorito bag in
your way :)
