This would make an interesting study.  How about a mortality/morbidity 
study on the number of people per 100,000 of the population who 
exhibited the type of cancer caused by safrole oil before the 1960 ban 
on it's human consumption and after.  If there's an actual statistically 
significant difference I'll eat Cotty's hat.
