I think you'll find that the 4/3rds system uses a 4:3 sensor, not a 5:4 
sensor. Hence the name.

While an interesting idea, it solves a problem that doesn't exist 
(excessive cost of larger sensors) and never delivered on its other 
promise (smaller lenses, which Pentax has cornered the market in)
