Urgent question, as in need answers today. I'm not a much into flash shooting, so I haven't payd much attentions when this has been discussed earlyer. Tomorrow I'm having an unpaid job at a family event. We are talking long dinner table and much people (30-40). A friend has kindly lent me his 540 and 360 flashes. The idea was to use them both to make even light at the whole table. I tried asking the kind friend, but he hadnt used them as wireless, so he couldnt help me much.
The manual is cryptic to me, too many terms I don't relate to. I guess I could figure it out if I had the time, but I haven't. I have managed figure out a setup where I use the onboard flash to trigger the other two as slaves. So now I think I'll set up one flash at each end of the table, and direct them up in the roof. Just let them stand there and look after themself while I wonder about and shoot what I want. Does this sound like a good idea, or is there better alternatives for a flash novice? Slave mode I understand, and I have a rough idea of Master mode too. But Controll mode I don't get. Can somebody fill me in without S&M using referanses?
