I just printed off 4 pictures to bring to class Monday, as the
instructor wanted to see some samples of my horse work and candid kid
stuff, and pets.

Of the 4 pictures i printed, and all with a different digital camera,
two are just fine, and two have noticeable banding. The two horse
shots, Nikon D1, are fine. The one dog portrait, has banding in the
back ground,(D2H) worse as the photo started to print, but better near
the end. I thought it was due to sitting for a week, but then i
printed out the two others and they are fine.

I then printed out the B&W conversion i did for a friend, and it has
banding in the dark and midtone shadows, rest of the shot is fine.

I zoomed in to the pictures and the shots them selves look fine, no
banding, maybe some mottle look to it.
The B&W was printed with Epson icc profile for the paper used, and i
used Advanced B&W in the printer box.

Any ideas.
