I don't have experience with the Wolverine, but evaluated it and decided
on the Compact Drive PD70x instead.

For me the determining factor was the battery. Like my old X's drive -
the Wolverine has an internal rechargeable battery, and once it dies
that's it for transfers in the field (unless you come up with an
external battery back - which I ultimately wound up doing.)

The likn you sent says that it will transfer 6 - 12 gigs per charge -
which is marginal for my needs. The Compact Drive uses rechargeable AA
batteries. It has a built in charger so you can have the advantage of
alway shaving a fresh charge, but if the batteries were to die you could
pop in another set and keep going. The compact drive claims up to 80
gigs transfer per charge - I've never tested that and it would have to
be dependent on the amperage of the AA rechargeables in use.

IIRC, the PD70x also had a faster card to drive transfer speed. My
faster 2 gig SD cards transfer in something like 6-8 minutes. But the
Compact Drive is something like $50 - 75 more expensive.

I _think_ that the Wolverine is a Vosonic Drive re-labelled. Similarly
the Compactdrive is also sold as the Hyperdrive (or something like that.)
