It is no longer possible to seperate the "film" from the camera, it comes prepackaged in the body. Because of this, the way cameras are compared also has to change. The way the hardware/ firmware/software works to produce the image, and the "look" thereof, is as much a part of present camera testing as any of the more traditional criteria.
