Any specualation as to why the K10D would have inferior AF
performance to the K100D? Aren't they same design vintage?

10D is slower and less accurate than my K100D was, but multi-point AF is

actually usable.

The K100D has faster AF than the DS, Pentax did a superb update on the 
AF system for the K100D.
