Happened to a friend in town here a few years back. One of these discount gas utility companies wanted her to sign up. She declined then started getting bills.
She refused payment and the company said they have a signed contract. She asked for a copy, saying she lost here's(no contract was ever signed) The idiots bit and sent a copy. Signature was not even close. When this was pointed out, as well as letting them know the police would be called, was enough to stop the bills. Back in Nov, a young lady was selling Rogers phone systems door to door. I politely listened to here speech, insisted my internet and phone bills were less than she was offering, then she left. Two days later, an installation guy shows up, wanting to get in the house and install my rogers phone. I explained i told the sales girl, flat out NO. He insisted he was told to come here and install it. Show me a work order with my signature and i'll let you in. No work order was given to him he says. Two days later, different guy, same speeches. They have stopped coming around finally.
