Um ... 100Mbit per second vs 400, 480 or 800 Mbit per second speed,  
slower over wireless ... unless you have a wired gigabit class  
ethernet network ... I'll be interested to hear what kind of  
performance you get out of it.

Why don't you put Lightroom on your desktop machine? The Lightroom  
end user license specifically allows use on two machines per user  
license. It only takes 5 minutes to install it... ?
