A lot of us often use laptops with 1280 x 800 pixel screen dimensions. 
With some overhead for other screen elements it's inevitable that 
800-pixel-tall images get chopped. Assuming 1024 x 768 is still the 
best compromist or web displays. 

I'm now sizing my horizontal shots at 800 pixels wide and my verticals 
by 700 tall.
