Oh and you can't use front filters in Sigma ;-) You forget that to get the same AOV on full frame you wouldn't need a 12-24, but something in the range of an 18-36. The original istD kit lens (18-35) was close to full frame coverage, and while large, wasn't anywhere near as massive as the 12-24.
