Arguably Nikon offers better support, but makes you pay for the priviledge as it's restricted to the Pro-level bodies (D200 and up do M & A modes with all metering options and full i-TTL flash including all CLS capabilities). Pentax is king for the sub-$1000 market, with Olympus in second. Canon's wierd in that they actually provide better support for non-Canon manual focus lenses than they do for FD mount (some with adaptors and none, respectively). Leica is in the same boat Nikon is, sort of, as you can at least modify non-AI lenses to work on modern Nikon bodies, but 1 and 2 cam R lenses are unusable on R3 and later bodies (M lenses have the best forward compatibility of all though). -Adam -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
