Bob, See Rob's reply for definition.
What you do is to first install a feed reader on your computer. I use one that's simply called "feedReader 3". There are many freeware programs out there; I just picked one I liked. It is perhaps possible to use the web browser itself as well, I haven't looked into that... Then, when using your browser to view blog web pages, look for notes regarding "subscription". On blogs hosted at www.blogspot.com, the text is "Subscribe to: Posts (Atom)". On sites set up with WordPress, the text can be "entries (RSS 2.0)" (eg. http://www.samhaskinsblog.com/) or "RSS blog" (See Doug Brewer's blog: http://www.drivingtheflies.com/). Click that link and/or copy it, and paste it into the feed reader. Tomorrow your feed reader will automatically look for new published items, and give you a message when it finds something. Saves you the time to go looking for it. :-) Cheers, Jostein 2007/7/8, Bob Sullivan <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>: > Jostein, > I picked up this thread late, but am curious about your comment.
