It's exactly as I said: Run Mac OS X's Disk Utility. Pick the drive  
you want to format. Click the Erase tab. Pick the "Windows" option  
for volume layout on the options popup menu. Click Erase and confirm  
your choice. It takes less time to do it than it does to write this  
sentence to say that it can be done.

Disk Utility also allows you to set up partitioning if you want it,  
and will format drives for RAID 0 or RAID 1 configurations. It has a  
full help faciility included as well...  and it costs nothing, it's  
the standard tool delivered with Mac OS X in the Utilities folder.
