Hello everybody!

Several time recently I've encountered problems of using
my TTL flash (AF FTZ 500) with a DS camera.
I am used to the way the flash was working with ZX5n
(and have been happy with it), but having some problems with the DS.

I would like to use the flash in a TTL mode, so that I don't have
to adjust anything for the flash - this is important for dynamic
situations, such as photographing dances (especially dance competitions)
on a poorly lit dance floor.

How do you force the external (FTZ 500) flash to fire every time and
have it in a TTL mode?
AFAIK, P mode does not allow you to use a TTL flash.
The fully automated modes ("universal" or "sports") - do allow that.
However, you cannot force to the flash in automatic mode to fire
everytime (if the camera thinks there is enough light it may not
fire the flash).

Some aspects of using a flash with Pentax DSLRs have been discussed
earlier on this list. So, my appologies if I missed some postings
that had addressed my question.

Thank you,

Igor
