Nonsense. Sales are down, to be sure, but they're still running at about 81 million CDs per quarter. I bought two today. And I'd be surprised if you could fine a Target, Wal-Mart or any other big box store that doesn't sell them. Ask for a vinyl LP at one of these retailers, though...
