I hope no one minds me asking this here, but I got more help here last time than on the car lists.
Volvo 940 Turbo Wagon, 1991 model. Right now we're having a spell of really HOT weather. When the car sits all day in the sun it won't start. I've narrowed the problem down to the fuel pump. When really hot you turn the ignition key to the accessory position and the pump doesn't start. Wait until the evening when it's a bit cooler and the pump runs and the car starts just fine. Pump is getting electricity, so doesn't seem to be a problem of it not getting power. From what I see on line, it looks like this car suffers the dual pump affliction, one in the tank and one up top outside the tank. I haven't dropped the tank yet.
