I feel your pain. I used to like mine, then I hated it, then I loved it, then I loathed it. Nowadays all is right with the world. When I first got it I was impressed with the clarity & resolution of the prints. Then time moved on, I got more critical, & I started to hate it because it never printed the colours as I saw them on the screen. I then learnt about colour management, and my prints started coming out how I wanted them too. I thought "Woo Hoo, I love this thing" Then I started getting banding in my prints that no amount of cleaning cycles could completely get rid of. I even resorted to pulling the damn thing apart and tried to clean the head manually with a syringe & a rubber tube. First with Windex (I had read that this worked for some people). No good. Then I tried water, warm water, warm soapy water. Still no good. Lastly, with my patience gone & my blood pressure through the roof I tried Isopropanol. Still no f&[EMAIL PROTECTED] good (I came very close to throwing the bloody thing across the room at that point). I eventually gave up and got an R2400. Printing has been bliss since I got it & all is right in my printing world. Cheers, Dave -- PDML Pentax-Discuss Mail List [email protected] http://pdml.net/mailman/listinfo/pdml_pdml.net
