You can get high speed flash synch with either of the Pentax 67 leaf shutter lenses (165/4LS and 90/2.8LS). The camera works well handheld. I've shot at 1/30th of a second with mine, no problem. You would want a solid tripod for serious work. It is a big camera. On the other hand, a 645 might be a better investment if Pentax really does introduce a digital 645.
