A few people have commented in regard to inkjet papers. At least one
PDML member has suggested that papers designated for the Epson 1270 or
1280 are not compatible with the C80 and, by inference, with the 1200. I
have found that the new papers intended for the 1270 produce great
results on my 1200. However, my favorite papers are Ilford. The best by
any measure is Ilford Ink Jet Fine Art Paper. However, it runs close to
$2 a sheet in letter size. Another favorite is Ilford Gallerie Smooth
Gloss Paper. I have a 25 sheet box of 11 x17. I think it sold for around
$35. I've also had very good success with Epson Professional Photo Paper
for the 1270. It's a glossy finish paper that prints beautifully on the
1200 when using the glossy film setting. I used to buy the Super A3
Epson Glossy Film at about $6 a sheet for special occasions :-). It was
very nice, but I haven't seen it in the store recently.
