Well, Mark, I disagree with ~you~.

;-)

I will concede that perhaps intent of the creator is helpful in
determining is something is art, however (as I think Godfrey said -
and correct me if I'm wrong, Godfrey) sometimes the intent may not be
explicit or understood by the artist him/herself.

However, for me as viewer/experiencer, I may find a work to be
completely "artless", regardless of what it's creator thinks...
