Frank i have good luck with the Channel Mixer. Click the monochrome
box and set Red at 25%, Green at 70% and Blue at 5%.

This gives me a good starting point and then adjust each one as needed.

Godders has posted several times, mostly cause i lost his
responces.:-), his mehtods.

I tried the nik filters that came free with the Epson 2400, but i
don't really like them., The freeware ones Mark has suggested work
well.

My Paw of the church and single headstone was done with those, green
filter i thinlk.
