I've never used the A50/2.  Though Adam says it's the same optic as the 
M50/2, which I have.  I prefer the M50/2 for people photographs.  The 
M50/1.7 is sharper, however.  The A setting will allow full 
functionality of the Super Program and, should you decide to "go 
digital" in the future, will be more suited for the digital bodies.  The 
M and K lenses require one to push the "green button" to meter.  This 
has been beaten to death around here and a quick check of the archives 
for the last year should reveal some interesting opinions on the 
subject.  Basically, the A lenses will give you a few more options on 
the more modern bodies.
