Thanks, Adam. I have a habit of reading things too quickly. I am glad, in this case, it did not prove costly.
I still have not settled on a lens yet. Overall, I would probably prefer either of the two you have suggested--though I do not like paying a premium for an item that is not truly rare. That M-Series f/ 1.7 on eBay disappeared shortly after I mentioned it here. I am not saying there is necessarily a connection between these two events, but I guess I learned something of a lesson from this experience.
