Not necessarily - I have rarely had anyone ask me about lenses I am using - but very often which camera. Wouldn't it make some sense that someone could create a great image with a Pentax SLR and a third party lens? When I bought my Sigma 100-300/4 EX lens I was looking for high optical quality and speed in a lens of about that focal length range. Guess what Pentax had to offer? FA 80-320/4.5-5.6 - not even in the same league (I had one at one point in time). So I have shots that would show the bodie is capable of good work, why not show it as well?
So someone looking in the gallery might be thinking about buying a Pentax - so all images shown would give some indication of what they might expect (or could do). I went ahead and submitted a couple from different lenses - and marked them accordingly in the comments - we'll see if they throw them all out or not. -- Bruce Friday, August 31, 2007, 1:05:37 PM, you wrote: PJA> This seems bizarre since I would think that Pentax would want to PJA> highlight it's lenses...
